Sub Teams

The Sub Teams support the Group by providing people who can help with specific tasks within the Group when needed, allowing the leaders to focus on Scouting activities.  It is not expected that sub committee members will have a particularly onerous or time consuming role; the more people we have, the less time is required from everyone.

Fundraisingtype of activities include planning and running events, advertising, getting sponsorships/grants, helping hands – help out at events, baking, setting up,  serving etc

Maintenance  – type of activities include organising safety checks, general upkeep

Waterbase – including looking after the craft and buildings

Headquarters This could include upkeep of all our equipment in the garage, packing/unpacking after camps/events, website updates

Each sub team will:

  • Have meetings – monthly/quarterly/ad hoc (decided by the sub committee).
  • Have a leader and/or secretary – who will align with and send an email report to the Group Scout Leader on the committee’s activities in advance of the next Trustee Meeting.
  • Provide basic details (name, DOB, address, email, phone) for us to hold on the Scout record system, so that you are covered by the group insurance.

If you have a set of skills that you think may help the Group please get in touch!

This could be a one-off commitment by sharing skills for a section meeting, activity or fund raising event, or you may have qualifications that could assist in building maintenance or administration such as website design/maintenance.
